I’m Lizzy, an illustrator based in West Clare, Ireland, originally from Limerick City. My work draws inspiration from Irish folklore, mythology, and Celtic design, bringing the magic of Ireland to life through visual storytelling.

I spent two years living in the wild landscapes of Connemara and Sligo during lockdown, which opened up a whole new world of inspiration. I create Celtic-inspired designs that celebrate Ireland’s mystical creatures and legendary beasts. My approach to Celtic knotwork is experimental, and I enjoy exploring beyond traditional methods.

I studied printmaking at LSAD, and my background in this craft is reflected in my drawing style. Many people often mistake my work for woodcuts or lino prints. I have a passion for hands-on, traditional art-making, while gradually exploring the possibilities of digital illustration. In the summer, I get involved in creative festival builds, where creatures and fantastical beasts often take center stage.

Ink and paint are my primary mediums, and I also design custom drums.
